BCCI and IPL dropped the most feel-good campaign of the season: “500 trees planted for every dot ball!”

Sounds noble as hell, right? In IPL 2025 alone, over 2,500 dot balls were bowled. Do the math — that’s a staggering 12,50,000 trees they proudly claimed to plant.

Except… where the f*ck are they?

Our cities are still choking, heatwaves are shattering records, and the temperature graphs keep flashing blood red. If bcci actually delivered on even half those trees, we should be seeing massive new forests popping up somewhere. But nobody has. Not a single soul has posted photos of these “IPL forests.” No before-and-after pictures. No satellite proof. No local reports of saplings being planted by the lakh.

Here’s the savage truth they don’t want you to notice:

- 12.5 lakh trees promised → check
- zero visible evidence of actual planting → check
- Massive PR campaign with celebrities and ads → check
- Real environmental impact? Still waiting

This isn’t greening the planet. It’s classic greenwashing — the same old trick where billion-dollar sports leagues buy themselves a clean conscience with fancy numbers that conveniently disappear once the cameras stop rolling.

BCCI loves lecturing us about environment and legacy while raking in thousands of crores from the IPL. If they’re really planting 12 lakh trees every single year, show us the goddamn trees.

Or admit it was all just another expensive ad campaign.

Because right now, those trees exist only in press releases — and india is still burning.
