But this time both the central government and the Tata group have taken a favourable decision for air india employees.

Ltd. air india employees The central government has also held talks with Tata Sons on the status of air india employees, as settled by Tata Sons for air India. Tata has agreed to negotiate in favour of the employees without any objection.




All air india employees are to be given a one-year employment guarantee for one year after air india comes under the control of Tata Sons. This is not the case with corporate companies because drastic action will be taken to control costs. The most important of these are staff layoffs.


The Union minister of Civil Aviation has said that VRS will be provided to employees without dismissal as per the results of Tata Sons' Tales management through the 2nd year of the VRS scheme.




Gratuity and PF are available and employees leaving from the 2nd year will be entitled to Gratuity and PF as per the indian Companies Act. The Union minister today confirmed that all concessions will be given to air india employees.


Similarly, Post Retirement Medical Benefit will be continued on behalf of the government of india for all air india employees after retirement. The concession will continue as usual from the government side, said the Union minister of Civil Aviation.


The government also owes Rs 1,332 crore to air india employees. It was also announced at today's meeting that this is to be given to the government employees before the change of management.
