Dry Ingredients:

· 1 tsp baking powder
· ¼ tsp baking soda

Wet Ingredients:
· ½ cup milk (dairy or oat/almond milk)
· 1 large egg
· 2 tbsp melted butter or coconut oil
· 1 tsp vanilla extract
Glaze:
· ¼ cup pure maple syrup
· 1–2 tsp milk (to thin if needed)
Optional Cinnamon-Sugar Coating:
· 2 tsp cinnamon
· 2 tbsp sugar
Instructions
1. Prepare the Dough
1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
2. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
3. In another bowl, whisk milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla.
4. Combine wet and dry ingredients until just incorporated. Do not overmix.

· Roll out the batter gently on a floured surface to ½-inch thickness.
· Cut into strips and twist each strip into a spiral.
· Place twists on a greased or parchment-lined baking sheet.
3. Bake
· Bake for 12–15 minutes or until golden brown.
· Let cool slightly before glazing.
4. Glaze & Optional Coating
1. Mix maple syrup with a little milk if needed.
2. Brush glaze over warm donuts.
3. For extra cinnamon flavor, sprinkle cinnamon-sugar mixture over the glaze.
