Maharashtra: Jay Pawar Demands Grounding of VSR Flights After Shocking Video
In a major development from Maharashtra, Jay Pawar, son of former deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar, shared an emotional and alarming video on Instagram.
In his post, Jay Pawar wrote, “I have lost my father… This pain will remain with me for the rest of my life,” expressing deep grief over the tragic incident.
The video allegedly shows VSR Ventures owner Rohit Singh sleeping in the pilot’s seat during a flight, raising serious safety concerns.
Jay Pawar described the act as shocking and unacceptable, stating that such negligence in the air endangers passengers’ lives.
Calling it a grave violation of aviation safety norms, he demanded immediate and strict action against those responsible.

He strongly urged the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to ground all VSR Ventures flights pending a full investigation.
Jay Pawar also demanded the immediate arrest of Rohit Singh and strict legal action, terming his appeal “a son’s cry” for justice and passenger safety.
The controversy follows the tragic crash of a Learjet 45 aircraft in Baramati on january 28, 2026, which claimed the life of Ajit Pawar.
The aircraft involved in the accident was owned by VSR Ventures Private Limited.
Following the crash, DGCA ordered a special safety audit to assess compliance with aviation safety standards.
The audit reportedly revealed multiple violations related to airworthiness, operational procedures, and overall flight safety.
As a result, DGCA grounded four aircraft belonging to VSR Ventures Private Limited.
The grounded aircraft include Learjet models registered as VT-VRA, VT-VRS, VT-VRV, and VT-TRI.
DGCA stated that immediate corrective measures were initiated to address the identified lapses.
The regulator emphasized that passenger safety remains the highest priority and that strict enforcement actions will continue if violations persist.
The incident has sparked widespread debate about private aviation safety standards and regulatory oversight.
Jay Pawar’s public appeal has intensified pressure on authorities to ensure accountability and prevent future tragedies.
