
Health Secretary urges district collectors to monitor mutated virus!!
The Secretary of health has instructed all the district collectors to follow appropriate guidelines to monitor the mutated corona infection. The Chief Secretary headed a consultation with the health Secretary, all district Collectors, and the Commissioner of the Corporation of chennai on the corona surveillance work through video conferencing. It is instructed that the guidelines of the central government should be strictly followed and it's mandatory. It was then advised that vaccination of eligible persons in tamil Nadu should be intensified, medical infrastructure should be monitored and increased as required and there should be no lag in corona prevention activities. It has also been advised to avoid crowding in areas of public places in all districts, to wear face shields to create adequate awareness, and to constantly observe ceremonies and family events.

Tourists arriving in tamil Nadu from risk-listed countries are required to undergo a corona test, they have to wait for the test result. If the result of infection is confirmed they should be isolated and they will be under the medical treatment immediately. Fellow passengers traveling with them should also be screened. If negative, re-test a week later. Their samples should be sent to a genetic analysis center for testing. This procedure should be followed regularly at ports and airports.
