In a relief for medical aspirants, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has extended the deadline for Choice Filling under Round 3 of the UG Counselling 2025. Candidates can now fill or modify their choices for MBBS, BDS, and B.Sc. Nursing admissions until 11:55 PM on october 18, 2025.

· Applies to: MBBS, BDS, B.Sc. Nursing candidates participating in All india Quota (AIQ) counselling

📢 Why the Extension?

The MCC has not stated an official reason for the extension, but such decisions are typically made to:

· Allow more time for candidates who faced technical or document issues

· Ensure fairness and inclusivity in the counselling process

· Accommodate last-minute applicants or corrections

· Candidates who registered for Round 3 but haven’t submitted their choice list yet

· Those who wish to revise or modify their previously selected options

· students aspiring for AIQ seats in government medical/dental colleges or central/deemed universities

 Steps to Complete Choice Filling

1. Visit the official MCC website: https://mcc.nic.in

2. Login using your credentials (Application No. & Password)

3. Access the Round 3 counselling tab

4. Fill or edit your list of preferred colleges/courses

5. Lock choices before 11:55 PM, october 18

⚠️ Important Note

If you do not lock your choices by the deadline, the system will auto-lock them based on your last saved preferences. Once locked (manually or automatically), no further changes can be made.

📅 What’s Next?

After choice filling:

· Seat Allotment Result for Round 3 will be declared as per MCC's revised schedule (usually within a few days).

· Candidates allotted seats will have to report to their respective colleges for admission and document verification.

The MCC conducts centralized counselling for 15% All india Quota seats in MBBS/BDS courses in government colleges, 100% seats in deemed/central universities, and AIIMS/JIPMER. It also covers B.Sc. Nursing seats in select institutions.
