The rise of Mpox cases during the Corona outbreak caused consternation throughout the world. These cases, which had unexpectedly reached thousands, have been cut by 90%.
World health Organization (WHO) has made an important announcement regarding Monkeypox. Now Mpox ie monkeypox is not a global health emergency. This has been announced by director General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus. He announced on thursday that in a recent meeting, I came to know that the danger of MPOX has now been averted.
In fact, WHO had declared Public health Emergency in July 2022, considering it as a global concern, after frequent cases of MPOX came to the fore. This disease was a fast spreading disease in the world among Corona. Thousands of cases were reported one after the other. The director General of WHO said that in the last three months, the cases of Mpox have decreased by 90 percent. Till May 8, its total cases in the world have been 87000 thousand, which is very less as compared to last year.
Covid was also excluded
After the reduction in the cases of corona epidemic in the last few years, WHO recently removed it from the Global health Emergency. After this, people around the world have heaved a sigh of relief due to the decline in the cases of Mpox. However, the danger of both these diseases has not completely ended yet.
