UN calls for equality in vaccines: The Secretary-General has appealed. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has called for equality in the Corona vaccine.

The coronavirus outbreak began in late december 2019 in Wuhan, China. Currently, the coronavirus infection is threatening the nations of the world.

Internationally, the number of deaths due to coronavirus infection has crossed 50 lakhs.

In this regard, United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said:

Today, mankind is facing the tragic problem of 50 million corona deaths. This creates the impression that we are failing.

Wealthy developed countries have all begun to pay the third dose of vaccine to save the lives of their people. However, only 5 per cent of all people on the African continent have been vaccinated so far.

This is an international disgrace. This 50 lakh death toll is not only a symbol of shame but also a warning bell.

No one in the world can be safe until everyone is safe. Yet corona deaths are on the rise in many parts of the world. Hospitals are overflowing with corona patients.

Rumours of the corona, vaccine shortages and vaccine hoarding are even more threatening.

At this juncture, I would like to see world leaders working together to formulate an international vaccination policy.

By the end of this year, at least 40 per cent of the world's population will have been vaccinated. By 2022, 70 per cent of the population should have been vaccinated. World leaders need to act on this need.
