How long does Covid-19 Vaccine immunity last?
After taking the corona vaccine, its effect lasts for only 6 months in about 30 percent. After this, the immunity created by it becomes weak or ends in them, this information has come out from research done in India.
Hyderabad-based AIG Hospital and Asian Healthcare together researched the effect of immunity of the vaccine, in which 1,636 people were included. All the people involved in the research had taken both doses of the vaccine.
At the same time, Dr.Nageshwar Reddy, Chairman of AIG Hospital, said, the purpose of the research was to know the effect of immunity received by the people after the vaccine.
Dr.Nageshwar said that the antibody level of the people was examined. The level of antibodies against Covid-19 should be at least 100 AU per ml. He said, out of 1,636 people involved in the research, 93% had taken Covishield, 6.2% had Covaxin and less than 1% had taken Sputnik-V. About 30 percent of these people had immunity levels below 100 AU/ml after 6 months. He told, during this it has been found that immunity remains in the youth for a long time as compared to the elderly.
