When divya bharti secretly married sajid nadiadwala at the age of 18 without telling her father

Late actress divya bharti said goodbye to this world at the age of just 19. However, about a year before his death, he married filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala. Divya Bharti was an actress in bollywood, who had made a special place in the film industry in a very short time. divya made her debut at the age of 16 with the telugu film 'Bobbili Raja' released in 1990. Her  first bollywood film was 'Vishwatma', which was released in the year 1992. She had acted in 21 films in a short career of just 3 years and it is said that he had 30 films. Today i.e. on 5 april 2023, it has been 30 years since Divya's death.

However, the film industry was shocked when divya died on 5 april 1993 after falling from the 5th floor of her building. At that time divya was only 19 years old. However, at the young age of 18, divya bharti married filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala. The first meeting of the two took place when divya was working with actor govinda in the film 'Shola Aur Shabnam'. It was love at first sight for Sajid.

Divya Bharti and sajid nadiadwala were friends at first and later both realized their feelings for each other. After this, they got married in a private ceremony on 10 May 1992. However, even before the completion of one year of marriage, the sad news of the death of the actress came to the fore, which shook the entire nation. His death remains a mystery. 

Well, everyone knows the love story of divya bharti and sajid nadiadwala, but there was a time when divya kept her marriage a secret from her father for a few months. In a throwback interview with 'Bollywood Hungama', Divya's mother Mita Bharti recalled how Divya's father Om Prakash Bharti came to know about their marriage after a few months. He was against this marriage. 

The actress's father was against the marriage of divya bharti and Sajid. Talking about this, the late actress' mother had said, "Sajid used to visit govinda on the sets of 'Shola Aur Shabnam' to take dates and was introduced to divya there. The same day she (Divya) asked me, 'Mother, what do you think of Sajid?' I said I liked that. After a few days, she asked me if she could marry Sajid. I told her that she should ask her father and her father was against it."

He further said, “She had her own beliefs and opposed the idea of this marriage. When divya turned 18, she called me to tell me that she was getting married to Sajid and wanted me to sign as a witness, but I told her not to do so until she told her father. Will not inform you, till then I cannot come.

After marrying sajid nadiadwala, divya bharti continued to live with her parents and visited them occasionally. Divya's father had no idea that she had married Sajid against his will. A few months after their marriage, it was Sajid who visited Divya's family for diwali and announced their marriage. However, divya and Sajid could not enjoy their married life for a long time as they married at the age of 18. Before completing one year of their marriage, divya passed away at the age of 19. 

According to a report in 'Bollywood Hungama', sajid nadiadwala had accepted his late ex-wife divya Bharti's parents Om Prakash Bharti and Meeta Bharti as his own from the day of their marriage. However, the makers became closer to Divya's parents after her demise. Since Divya's demise, Sajid has taken up all the responsibilities that a son has towards his parents.
