Vikram buzz: Vijay Sethupathi was not the first choice!!!
Raghava lawrence, a multifaceted actor, has revealed previously unknown details about Vikram, one of 2022's biggest blockbusters starring Kamal Haasan. After watching Vijay Sethupathi's performance, it's impossible to think of anybody else playing the part of Santhanam, although lokesh kanagaraj wasn't initially interested in him.
Lawrence recently stated that, if not for scheduling conflicts, he would have portrayed Santhanam(Vijay Sethupathi). I was supposed to play vijay sethupathi sir in the movie Vikram. But I was unable to execute it due to date-related reasons. Since then, lokesh and I have been discussing our potential collaboration. lawrence, who is promoting his most recent film Rudhran, expressed his hope that matters would resolve themselves quickly.
Additionally, lawrence affirmed that he would be appearing in a Lokesh-penned film. "Lokesh is developing a storyline and script. Rathna Kumar is in charge of the direction. (For the female lead) Nayanthara and I are now in talks. And lokesh is directing that movie, he continued.
Lokesh has a tight relationship with Rathna Kumar. He is a key contributor to Lokesh's writing staff. In addition to working on Lokesh's next film Leo, which has tamil actor Vijay in the lead role, he also co-wrote the screenplay for Vikram. It would be interesting to know how lawrence would have portrayed santhanam in light of the new knowledge.
Sethupathi has a unique role as santhanam in Vikram. The persona was a drug addict and a cold-blooded killer. The primary antagonist in vikram is Santhanam. He kills a police officer in a drug-fueled frenzy, compelling Kamal's vikram to emerge from hiding and take on a very potent drug gang. Sethupathi had even hired an acting coach to assist him get ready for Santhanam.
