National award-winning actor dhanush was seen collaborating with national award-winning director vetrimaaran for the fourth time after Pollathavan, Aadukalam, and Vada chennai in asuran which was released last year.
 
 
Co-starring Manju Warrier, Ken, Prakashraj, and Naren the movie became a 100 crores grosser and became the biggest blockbuster in the career of dhanush and vetrimaaran and they're set to join for Vada chennai 2 next. 
 
 
While the movie's telugu remake narappa with victory venkatesh and priyamani is being directed by Sreekanth addala, asuran is set to be dubbed and released in china making it the first dhanush movie to release in China. The movie got released last year on october 4 and is the celluloid version of the acclaimed novel Vekkai penned by Sahitya Academy award winner Poomani, and co-stars malayalam actress manju warrier in her tamil debut, Ken Karunaas, Teejay, Ammu Abhirami, Pasupathy, Prakashraj and music scored by the sensational GV Prakash.
