Minister Raghupathi launched a sharp attack on AIADMK leader Edappadi K. Palaniswami, stating that “the entire nation is well aware of Palaniswami’s true nature and his betrayal of farmers.”

Speaking at a public meeting, the minister accused the former chief minister of implementing policies that went against the welfare of the agricultural community. He claimed that several decisions taken during Palaniswami’s tenure had adversely affected farmers, leaving them burdened and disappointed.

Raghupathi further stated that the present government is focused on restoring the confidence of farmers by introducing supportive schemes, ensuring fair prices for produce, and strengthening rural infrastructure. He added that the current administration’s commitment to the farming sector stands in stark contrast to the actions of the previous regime.

The minister’s remarks drew strong reactions from party cadres, who echoed his criticism and applauded the government’s continued emphasis on agricultural development.

Raghupathi concluded by saying that the people of the state are fully aware of past governance failures and will not be misled again, expressing confidence that the government’s pro-farmer initiatives will continue to gain public support.
