The movie ‘Ko’ was directed by KV anand with jeeva as a hero and was released in the year 2011. Ko (transl. 'King') is a 2011 indian Tamil-language political action thriller film. The film stars Jiiva, Ajmal Ameer, Piaa Bajpai and Karthika, in lead roles, while Prakash Raj and Kota Srinivasa Rao appear in supporting roles. The film follows Ashwin (Jiiva), a photojournalist working for Dina Anjal who covers the tamilnadu State Election. The film features music composed by Harris Jayaraj, with cinematography handled by Richard M. Nathan and editing done by Anthony. The film was released on 22 april 2011 to mostly positive reviews.
This was remaked as ‘Rangam’ in Telugu. This was a bigger hit in the box office and made huge collections. Actually simbu was selected as a hero for this movie initially but he withdrew in the middle of the movie. There must be some reason for this. He expressed his feeling that heroine Kartheeka doesn’t suit beside him and he told that he will do the movie if Thamanna will be the heroine.
