Director james Gunn responds to a witty connection drawn between his new programme, Peacemaker, and his Marvel Cinematic universe picture, Guardians of the Galaxy. Peacemaker, the very first show in the DCEU, premiered on january 13 and ran for three episodes, all of which received rave reviews. The cast includes john Cena as christopher Smith @ Peacemaker, who makes his first appearance on cinema since his introduction in Gunn's The Suicide Squad.

The show scoops up after the nationalistic vigilante wakes up from a slumber after being shot multiple times by Idris Elba's Bloodsport in the movie's end credits sequence. Before shooting both Peacemaker and The Suicide Squad, Gunn helmed the first Guardians of the Galaxy film in 2014. Audiences have been looking forward to the third episode of the trilogy since the release of the second film three years ago.

Gunn was sacked by Disney in 2018 after a series of scandals surrounding the third picture. Gunn has been hired back to keep working on his acclaimed trilogy, which is gradually nearing Phase Four of the Marvel Movies, which is great news for Fans of the franchise. Gunn, who is very popular on Social media, recently responded to a post from FandomWire. The tweet includes a photo that features two scenes, one from Guardians of the Galaxy and the other from Peacemaker, all of which appear to be quite similar. The similarity piqued Gunn's interest, and he quickly quote shared it, along with a humorous remark to the picture.
