According to press sources, the indian Supreme court has sent notifications to the directors gautamiputra satakarni and Rudhramadevi of balakrishna and Gunashekhar. A group of moviegoers called Cine Prekshaka Viniyogadarula Sangham filed a court petition, alleging that Gautami Putra Satakarni and Rudhramadevi's production companies failed to pass on the benefits to moviegoers, despite the fact that both companies are said to have benefited from tax exemptions from the governments of andhra pradesh and telangana and did not lower ticket prices.

The government of andhra pradesh and the government of telangana were made the respondent parties by the court that took up the case of the movie Viewers Association and sent notifications to the production companies. Rudhramadevi's Entertainment Tax was only waived by the telangana state government, although Satakarni had got exemptions from both telugu states.

Both movies were historical dramas with significance to telugu people's rich culture and tradition. It's also fascinating to note that both movies enjoyed box office success. It would be interesting to observe how the respondents and state governments both defend the respondents' tax exemption. first frame entertainments and Gunaa Team Works, two production companies, have not yet acknowledged rumours that they have received court notices. The creators are unavailable to comment on the situation. In Turkey, Nandamuri balakrishna is currently filming for his forthcoming movie (NBK 107) More information is awaited.
