In the Rs 200 crore extortion case connected to conman Sukesh chandrasekhar, bollywood actress jacqueline fernandez was granted an interim bail. The relief was granted by Special Judge Shailendra Malik in exchange for a personal bond of Rs. 50,000; the next hearing will take place on october 22. Sukesh chandrasekhar, a conman, is accused of extorting Rs 200 crore from Shivinder Singh, a former promoter of Fortis Healthcare.

Actresses jacqueline fernandez and nora fatehi have also acknowledged getting pricey gifts from Sukesh during lengthy interrogations in the case. They were being questioned independently on several dates. According to a recent report, the ED asserted that jacqueline fernandez admitted that chandrasekhar had given writer Advaita Kala Rs 15 lakh in cash in exchange for a script she had written for a web series that Jacqueline would produce. Sukesh is accused of giving Jacqueline presents worth Rs. 5.71 crore that he reportedly acquired through criminal activity, including extortion.

She had already been questioned by the ED, which is looking into the Sukesh case, for eight hours. After the investigation agency submitted a charge sheet on august 17 listing the actor as an accused party in the case, this occurred. Sukesh chandrasekhar allegedly gave the actor jewellery worth more than Rs 7 crore. Additionally, he allegedly sent the actor and her family members a number of high-end vehicles, pricey bags, outfits, shoes, and watches.
