Directed by Nelson, Thalapathy Vijay, pooja hegde, Selvaraghavan, yogi Babu, aparna Das, Redtin Kingsley, VTV Ganesh, and many others the film Beast released on april 13. Vijay played the role of a raw agent in this film which focused on terrorism. Made on a budget of just 150 crores, it grossed up to Rs.250 crores.

Director mani ratnam directed Vikram, jayam ravi, aishwarya Rai, Sarathkumar, Jayaram, Karthi, Trisha, aishwarya Lethumi, Prabhu, Prakash Raj, Raghuman, sara Arjun, Nasser, Shitahal ravi in the historical film Ponni's Selvan part which released on 30th. This film, jointly produced by madras Talkies and Lyca, has grossed up to Rs.500 crores.

Dr. Strange is a hollywood film directed by sam Raimi and starring Elizabeth Olsen, Chiwetel Ejobere, Benedict Wong, Benedict Cumberbatch, and many others. Made on a budget of Rs.200 crore, this film is said to have collected up to Rs.1000 crore.
