Even while many films fail at the box office, they frequently find a more accepting audience on over-the-top (OTT) channels. But the releases for this week told a different tale. The aforementioned films were all box office busts, and the reaction from the online public was likewise undifferentiated. In particular, chandramukhi 2 has proven to be an agony for over-the-top content. Anyone who has been watching this horror on Netflix is probably scratching their head in shock. Mama Mascheendra by sudheer babu did not do much better, with fans complaining on social media that they were unable to see the movie for even 20 minutes. The OTT audience is praising Nayanthara's horror-crime thriller Iraivan as well, calling it intolerable. Notably, even after its OTT distribution, Peddha Kapu 1, which had garnered great reviews during its "paid" premiers, failed to generate positive buzz.
