Encouraged by this success, the creators have announced a prequel, "Kantara 2," which has recently revealed its first look teaser, heightening expectations. Unlike its predecessor, which featured an all-Kannada cast, the sequel is set to be a pan-Indian release, incorporating 15 actors from Telugu, Tamil, and hindi cinema.
