All of Animal's house sequences were shot at Saif ali Khan's ancestral mansion, the Rs 800 crore Pataudi Palace. The spacious lawns and hallway in the film where Saif was seen wandering in an old video were noticed by fans. The sequence in which Rannvijay Balbir stands for a family photo was also shot on the Pataudi palace grounds.

Saif's grandfather, the Nawab of Pataudi, Iftikhar ali Khan Pataudi, erected the Palace in the 1930s. Following Mansoor ali Khan's death, the property was leased to a hotel company.
