For a considerable amount of time now, Senior director gunasekhar has been working on mythological subjects. With Rudhramadevi, he enjoyed some measure of success in 2015. Following that, he returned three years later with Samantha's Shaakuntalam. But, the public has harshly disapproved of that movie. After seeing his VFX standards in Rajamouli's films, the public has grown acquiescent, and it is difficult to meet such levels with the type of finances that today's gunasekhar market will have.

However, the senior director continues to solely rely on mythological themes. He is now working on bhakta prahlada and Gangavataranam, also known as The Story of Bhageeratha. For these two themes, he filed three titles: Bhageeratha, bhakta prahlada, and Gangavataranam. Which of these projects will be completed on floors first is unknown. Setting all else aside, Gunasekhar's authenticity comes through in his teaching of mythology to millennials. Let's see if he scores a hit again!

When malayalam actor Dev Mohan signed samantha Ruth Prabhu's Shaakuntalam, he was just old enough to be in a film. This was an opportunity he couldn't pass up. But the highly anticipated movie received negative reviews from critics and performed poorly at the box office. "When signing films, I consider all of that because I haven't done such a film or a genre before in my case," he explains. "It was a great opportunity for me to work on Shaakuntalam; when you're approached to be in a pan-Indian movie, you want to do it 100%."
