Veteran bollywood star anil kapoor is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Subedar, which is set to stream on OTT.
During the trailer launch event, the actor made a candid and humorous revelation about his personal life, saying that despite his superstar status, he has “no fans at home.”
Kapoor shared that his family keeps him grounded and treats him like any ordinary member of the household rather than a celebrity.
Speaking about a recent moment, he said that while leaving for the trailer launch, he informed his wife he was heading to an event. Her response surprised him when she casually asked, “Which film?” — indicating she wasn’t tracking his professional updates closely.
The actor added that he comes from a family that doesn’t get overly impressed by stardom. According to him, this normal treatment helps him stay humble and focused.
In a light-hearted confession, Kapoor revealed that he sometimes borrows ₹10,000–₹15,000 in cash from his wife before heading out for shoots, joking that he practically “survives” by taking money from her.
Kapoor often credits his wife, Sunita Kapoor, for playing a crucial role in both his life and career. He has frequently spoken about her unwavering support throughout his journey in the film industry.
In an earlier interview with The indian Express, the actor mentioned that his real-life relationship with Sunita inspired his performance in Subedar. He emphasized that her strength and partnership significantly influenced his portrayal of the character.
Subedar features an ensemble cast including radhika Madan, Saurabh Shukla, Aditya Rawal, Mona Singh, and Faisal Malik.
The film is directed by suresh Triveni and produced by vikram Malhotra, along with anil kapoor and suresh Triveni.
Subedar is scheduled to premiere on amazon Prime Video starting march 5, creating anticipation among fans eager to see Kapoor in a powerful new role.
