4. 'We are protecting the idea on which india was founded
When rahul was asked about the allegations of the dynasty, he said, we are a family. A dynasty if you will, but we have an idea, not india, to protect. The idea on which india was founded. The idea is to achieve the co-existence of people and self through a non-violent search for truth. rahul said, we have a mission. almost a religious idea. It is more valuable than all of us. More precious than our lives, for which if necessary I am ready to die in the same way as my grandmother and father were killed. It is such a strong idea that my mother, who was born in Italy, dedicated her whole life to it. I will defend this idea till the end.
5. 'I was Indira Gandhi's favourite, not Priyanka'
Rahul was asked why did he grow his beard during the Pad Yatra? He said I had decided not to cut it during the entire journey. I must now choose whether or not to keep it. rahul also said that he was a favourite of his indian grandmother (Indira Gandhi) and my sister priyanka gandhi Vadra was a favourite of her Italian grandmother.
