With the goal of building the largest stem cell manufacturing facility in india, US-based StemCures plans to open a manufacturing lab in telangana that will concentrate on stem cell treatment.

The facility will be built with an estimated investment potential of US$54 million and with the potential for 150 jobs over a few phases. The statement was made during a meeting in Boston, Massachusetts, between IT and industries minister KT Rama Rao and Dr. Sairam Atluri, Founder of StemCures. The planned plant's goal is to use the most recent technology and know-how from the US to create the highest-quality stem cell products at competitive prices for treating a range of significant medical problems.
