Nimmagadda
prasad who is an accused in the corruption cases being probed against AP CM
jagan Mohan Reddy, related to the Vadarevu-Nizampatnam Port and Industrial Corridor (Vanpic) project was arrested in
serbia a couple of days ago after a Red-Corner Notice was issued against him by the Interpol, based on a complaint by the government of Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) in the United Arab Emirates (
uae), in connection with the Vanpic case.
He was released on conditional bail in
serbia. The court ordered him to stay and not move out of Serbian Capital City Belgrade. The bail conditions will remain applicable for a maximum period of one year. Before its expiry, the
uae government should complete the process of deportation and taking him into custody.
If it happens, Nimmagadda will be in deep trouble. RAK is accusing Nimmagadda
prasad of causing wilful losses to it in the VANPIC project in Andhra Pradesh.
prasad had traveled to
england and other countries in the past but he was not arrested despite red corner notice. The
serbia arrest came totally unexpected and shocking.
