Mafia Atiq ahmed and his brother Ashraf, accused in the Umesh Pal murder case, were shot dead while being taken to the hospital during the investigation. The third son was already killed in an encounter by the police. Atiq's wife Shaista Parveen is also absconding and the police has announced a reward on her.
