The APT venue hosted a meeting of bjp executives this evening (Sept. 26th) ahead of the tamil Nadu local body elections. minister Sai J Saravanankumar, bjp MLAs, and numerous executives were present at the event, which was presided over by State President Saminathan. Namachchivayam, the state's home minister, spoke to the crowd.

He said, "In the local elections, we need to gain more seats. We are members of the National Democratic Alliance, the NR Congress, the bjp, and the AIADMK in Puducherry. PMK, on the other hand, has only left the alliance in tamil Nadu. However, the outcome in pondicherry is still to be announced. In the state of pondicherry, each constituency is divided into 8 and 9 wards. Our party officials and incumbents must submit their chosen petitions within the time range set by the party leadership, depending on which ward and post they want to run for.

Can you give everyone who signs a petition a chance? If this is not the case, Sit down with the Coalition party and map out the constituencies for us, including where they will be located and in what positions. Our leadership will make a decision and announce that we will compete. Those who do not have a chance to run in the elections, our party candidates, must work together to ensure that the coalition party candidates win. The success of the upcoming local elections, which will be held in conjunction with the parliamentary elections in 2024, will be critical. We need to establish a firmer foothold in tamil Nadu, just as we did in the Northern states."
