Before the telangana election, the bharatiya janata party (BJP) seems to have given up and accepted defeat to the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS). Senior official and Union minister of Road Transport & Highways Nitin Gadkari's comments confirm this.
Gadkari has implied that his party will serve as the primary opposition and that it had little chance of winning the State elections. Gadkari recently stated in an interview with a news agency that the bjp will grow its support and be the major opposition in telangana ahead of the impending assembly elections in five States, including telangana, later this year.

"In telangana, we'll become stronger. To the level of the main opposition, we shall ascend. Better outcomes would occur if everything is compatible, he claimed. In other words, Gadkari has conceded that the bjp won't win the next round of elections. The State leadership's exaggerated assertions that they will take power in telangana have been exposed by the words of the Union minister. In reality, the ruling BRS continued to be the top option in the State following the karnataka election results, while the congress came in a distant second.

Given that the party is already having problems as a result of internal conflicts among top officials, Gadkari's remarks are said to have caused a stir among the State leadership. Gadkari's remarks, according to party insiders, have not been well received by the State leadership, who want to bring the issue before the party high command.

According to sources, the State leaders are incensed by Gadkari's remark since the party is already battling to maintain discipline, and if such assertions are made by top officials, it would only further harm the party's reputation. With Gadkari's statement now adding salt to the wound, party national president jp nadda and Union home minister amit shah are already dissatisfied with the state leadership's performance.

AP Jithender Reddy, a former member of parliament who caused a stir in the party with a "buffalo" video advocating a kick to the bjp telangana leadership's rear, sparked yet another controversy on saturday by sending a caustic tweet to Dubbaka bjp mla M Raghunandan Rao.

Raghunandan Rao's demand that he be named the nation's spokesperson was mocked by Jithender Reddy, who tweeted a video of Rao speaking to the media with the message: "Proud of your voice. As the nation's spokesperson, I support you. raghunandan rao said that Bandi Sanjay, the state bjp president, had marginalized him and denied him the position of national spokesman.
