Breaking the electoral tradition, the bharatiya janata party has released the first list of 39 candidates for the
Madhya Pradesh assembly elections. The party has announced candidates for the same seats where it had to
face defeat in the last election.
BJP has also done many experiments in the first list of candidates. Prakash Uike, who left the job of a
magistrate and joined politics, has been given ticket from Pandhurna. bjp has made a strong front in ticket
distribution against Digvijay and Kamal Nath.
BJP has fielded female youth leader priyanka Meena from Chachoda, the traditional seat of Digvijay's brother
Laxman Singh. Except for 2013, Digvijay's supporters have been winning this seat continuously since 1993.
Similarly, on the seats of Surendra Honey Baghel and Kantilal Bhuria, who are close to Kamal Nath,
preference has been given to young candidates. Scindia supporters have also been given a lot of space in the
BJP list. Edal Singh Kansana has been re-nominated from Sumavali. Along with Kansana Scindia, he left
Congress and joined bjp in 2020. Jagannath Singh Raghuvanshi, who was nominated from Chanderi, is also a
supporter of Scindia.
