Problem and solution:
130 per day for ration for personnel mainly working in anti-poaching camps. Should be given, this dose should be increased every year or two. Daily Allowance for Forest Department staff working on sunday is Rs.30. is being given. In the same police department, that amount has been fixed at 500 rs. Therefore, the daily allowance of forest department staff should be increased. A forest canteen should be started to provide ration to the families of forest department staff at a lower rate on the model of police canteen and military canteen or ration should be distributed to the forest staff in the police canteens themselves.
Outsourced staff of the Forest Department who perform round-the-clock duty should be paid 30 days salary instead of 26 days a month. Adequate ESI and provident fund facility should be provided to the contract staff. To prevent human-wildlife conflict, livestock camps should be built near forested villages or close to the forest. Three (3) phase electricity which is provided only at night in Kadanchin villages should be supplied compulsorily for 3 to 5 hours during day time. Due to this, farmers will not have to go to irrigate their fields at night. In districts where human-wildlife conflict is high, a permanent task force should be formed comprising forest, police and revenue department officials.
Accommodation facility for staff in wildlife zones and residential school for children of staff should be started in wildlife department circles. A permanent Veterinarian should be appointed to the Wildlife Department. A list of various demands has been submitted to the chief minister, including that the wages of Forest Department staff and officers are low compared to other departments, and action should be taken to remove that discrimination.
