Due to a surge in traffic in anticipation of the Raksha Bandhan celebration, the telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) has announced a temporary suspension of T-9 tickets. Officials at the Corporation said on monday that the suspension will last for four days, beginning on tuesday and ending on september 1.

TSRTC giving two T-9 tickets, with prices ranging from Rs 50 to Rs 100 each, to customers riding in the Palle Velugu buses for lengths of 30 and 60 km. "The number of passengers in the buses increases during Raksha Bandhan. At that moment, it is challenging for the personnel to issue T-9 tickets. Gender, age, and other information about the passengers must be put into the TIM machines in order to issue the tickets, which takes a lot of time, according to TSRTC Managing director VC Sajjanar.

The procedure of issuing tickets under the T-9 plan would take a lot of time when traffic is heavy. In light of this, he continued, administrators have chosen to momentarily halt the programme. Electric buses will be run by TSRTC on routes with limited MMTS and Metro connections. The objective is to deploy these buses in various locations, with an emphasis on the IT Corridor, that are unconnected to mass transit systems.
