punjab chief minister bhagwant mann said on monday that domestic flights to other cities would start soon from
the Adampur airport in Jalandhar. Presiding over a meeting of the Civil Aviation Department here, Mann said that
it will keep NRIs connected to their homes. He said that this airport would be helpful in further increasing the
economic activities in the region. On the Halwara airport project, the chief minister directed the officials to
complete the ongoing work for the civil air terminal soon. He said that the state government has already released
Rs 50 crore to complete it soon. Reviewing the ongoing work at Adampur, Halwara, bathinda and Pathankot
airports, he said that with the commencement of flights from these airports, the people of the state would get direct
connectivity with the rest of the world.

While sharing the information about the meeting on his twitter handle, the chief minister said, 'Today a review
meeting was held with the officials of Civil Aviation Department of punjab regarding Pathankot, Halwara,
Adampur airports. The good news is that flights from Adampur to other cities of the country are going to start
soon. The work of the terminal being built in Halwara will also be completed soon.

Let us tell you that the Union Ministry of Aviation had also floated a tender recently to start domestic flights from
Adampur. After this, jalandhar MP Sushil Rinku also visited Adampur airport and took stock of the works going
