The Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) said in its latest report that the total assets declared by eight
national parties increased to Rs 8,829.16 crore during the year 2021-22, which was Rs 7,297.62 crore in the year
2020-21. ADR in the report announced the results for the financial years 2020-21 and 2021-22 from eight
national parties bjp, congress, NCP, BSP, Communist party of India, Communist party of India-Marxist (CPI-
M), trinamool congress and National People's party (NPP). Assets and liabilities are analyzed.
Which party's property has increased by how much?
In the financial year 2020-21, bjp had declared assets worth Rs 4,990 crore, which increased by 21.17 percent to
Rs 6,046.81 crore in 2021-22. According to ADR, the declared assets of congress in 2020-21 were Rs 691.11
crore, which increased by 16.58 percent to Rs 805.68 crore in 2021-22.
The report said that BSP is the only national party which has shown a decrease in its annual declared assets.
Between the year 2020-21 and 2021-22, the total assets of BSP decreased by 5.74 percent to Rs 690.71 crore,
which was Rs 732.79 crore. ADR said that the total assets of trinamool congress were Rs 182.001 crore in
2020-21, which increased by 151.70 percent to Rs 458.10 crore.
How much liability on which political party?
The total liabilities for the financial year 2020-21 declared by the national parties were Rs 103.55 crore. The
ADR said that the congress declared liabilities of Rs 71.58 crore, which is the highest. After this, the CPI(M)
declared liabilities of Rs 16.109 crore. At the same time, congress again topped with liabilities of Rs 41.95 crore
for the financial year 2021-22, followed by CPI(M) and bjp declared liabilities of Rs 12.21 crore and Rs 5.17
crore respectively.
