Prime minister Narendra Modi’s government has introduced the first bill in the new parliament to ensure the
system of women’s reservation. The opposition is appreciating it, but with conditions. Let us tell you that the
opposition is questioning the intentions of the Modi government regarding two-three conditions in the draft of
the Nari shakti Vandan Bill. In the same sequence, Asaduddin Owaisi’s party AIMIM spokesperson Asim
Waqar has also reacted on the Women’s Reservation Bill.
Regarding the Women’s Reservation Bill, AIMIM spokesperson Asim Waqar said, My demand from the
Prime minister is that you are talking about 31 percent women. I believe that in the bill, reservation should be
given to women of all religions and castes according to their population. Otherwise, the rights of backward
caste, Dalit and tribal women will be captured by upper caste women.
Owaisi said this in opposition to the bill
On the women’s reservation bill, AIMIM chief asaduddin owaisi said that we are against it. He said, Even
before this, when such a bill was introduced, our party had opposed it. The biggest flaw in this bill is that there
is no quota for OBC and Muslim women, so we are against it.
I.N.D.I.A alliance expressed protest
Delhi's ruling party Aam Aadmi party (AAP) has directly alleged that the Modi government has actually
brought this bill not to provide reservation to women but to cheat them. At the same time, the congress party
has also explained in an ex-post how according to the terms of the bill, the provision of women's reservation
will not be implemented in the 2024 lok sabha elections.
