In response to the allegation, B Srivenaka, the GHMC's Khairathabad Circle Food Safety Officer (FSO), recently inspected Karachi Bakery. Suspected samples were removed during the inspection and taken for examination. The inspection report was later sent for additional processing.
But, we need to warn our readers that it isn't the first time and even last year they faced Rs.10,000 fine for selling foods with fungus. The client had bought a box of sweets from the Karachi Bakery's Khajaguda location. He opened the package and saw the fungus. He contacted the civic organisation via social media, and the ghmc reacted almost away, indicating that the relevant officials had been informed and the problem would be handled as soon as possible.

This clearly shows they don't care about the consumers and despite facing a fine of Rs.10,000 last year again they have come under the radar and we advise our readers not to eat foods from the Karachi Bakery.
