Reportedly Ayodhya's ram Temple's Kumbabhishek ceremony is likely to take place on january 22. prime minister Modi is expected to attend. The construction of the ground floor of Ayodhya's three-tiered ram temple will be completed by the end of december and the Kumbabhishekam will be held on january 22, 2024, said temple construction committee chairman Nirupendra Mishra. In an interview to PTI on Tuesday, Mishra said prime minister Narendra Modi will participate in an event related to 'Prana Pratishtai' between january 20 and 24 and the exact date is yet to be confirmed by the Prime Minister's Office.


In an exclusive interview with Asianet news Network's Rajesh Kalra earlier this month, the former Principal Secretary to the prime minister of india confirmed that the prayer and idol installation ceremony at the grand ram temple will take place between january 14 and 24. The prayer and installation ceremony will start from january 14, 2024, and then on the date we have invited the honorable prime minister, we have not heard from him yet. Till the 24th, we will do the final prana pratishtha on any day he decides. The Lord will be present here. Devotees will come and have darshan from the next date. Before ram, the present Lord will be brought and kept," Mishra said in an interview. Meanwhile, General Secretary of Sri ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra sampath Rai has said that security has been beefed up in ayodhya ahead of prime minister Modi's arrival for the Kumbabhishek ceremony.


He urged people not to visit ayodhya during this time and instead suggested planning a visit in February. The temple construction team is expecting a significant turnout when the function is scheduled for january 22. The foundation encourages people to watch the event through telecast from their homes and villages. Also, a formal invitation will be sent to prime minister Modi by Sri ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Foundation for the Kumbabhishek ceremony where the idol of ram Lalla will be installed in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple. The temple trust has decided to start ram Lalla's consecration process after Makara sankranti on january 14 and observe the 10-day rituals for ram Lalla's 'prana pratishtai' (kumbabhishekam).
