While on one hand the leaders of the parties involved in the alliance are talking about contesting the Lok Sabha
elections together, now mutual differences are visible among the leaders of the alliance themselves. In West
Bengal, congress leader Adhir Ranjan is aggressively attacking the state chief minister mamata banerjee, due
to which the tension between the two is clearly visible in the state. The issue of Adhir’s statement was also raised
in the meeting of india Alliance.
At the same time, the differences between congress and aam aadmi party in punjab seem to be increasing
every day, in punjab congress seems to be angry with the arrest of one of its MLAs. Also, mamata banerjee is
raising questions on the presence and contribution of leftist parties in the alliance.
In such a situation, even in the states where opposition parties are clear about contesting elections in alliance, the
picture regarding seat sharing is not clear. No decision has been taken yet regarding seat sharing from bihar to
Maharashtra. Although akhilesh yadav is attending every meeting of the Alliance, no decision has been taken
yet regarding seat sharing with Congress.
Apart from this, the alliance was seen on the backfoot regarding DMK leader Udhayanidhi Stalin's statement on
Sanatan. bjp under the leadership of narendra modi termed Udhayanidhi's statement as a collective statement of
the I.N.D.I.A alliance. Due to this, other leaders included in the alliance were seen distancing themselves from
this statement of Udhayanidhi. It seems that internally, the leaders of the parties involved in the alliance know
that the challenge is very big and there is a great need to fight unitedly against the bjp, but no one has the
answer as to why this is not happening. CPM, another national party included in the alliance, is also in a state of
confusion. CPM has not yet nominated any member for the coordination committee.
