More rains are expected in numerous regions of South india, including tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Puducherry, according to the india Meteorological Department (IMD). Heavy rain was also expected in the andaman and Nicobar Islands, while light rain was expected in the southern states during the following two days.

Meanwhile, the meteorological service issued a warning to fishermen and advised them not to travel into the south andaman Sea on Wednesday. Fishermen should avoid the southeast Bay of bengal from wednesday to Friday, and the southwest and neighbouring central Bay of bengal on thursday and Friday.

Temperature drop, fog pockets in northwest, central, northern regions

The meteorological service predicts that severe fog would reduce visibility across Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and a few northeastern provinces. During the next three days, shallow to moderate fog is expected across Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura.
