In view of maharashtra government minister Chhagan Bhujbal’s demand to dismiss the Justice (retd) Sandeep
Shinde committee formed on the maratha reservation issue, his cabinet colleague radhakrishna Vikhe Patil on
Wednesday said that the leader of the nationalist congress party (Ajit Pawar faction) should be dismissed in this
way. As a minister, he should resign before giving his statement. He advised Bhujbal to exercise restraint, as his
stance would send the message that there is no unity in the state government on the maratha reservation issue.
What is the matter?
On Monday, Bhujbal had demanded a ban on issuing Kunbi caste certificates to Marathas and dismissal of the
committee. Bhujbal had said that the committee has completed its work of identifying documents in Marathwada
region. Chhagan Bhujbal is a leader of the ncp led by deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar and the Food and Civil
Supplies minister in the state government. Addressing reporters in Kolhapur, bjp leader and Revenue Minister
Vikhe Patil said that Bhujbal is a senior leader and he should maintain restraint. Vikhe Patil said, The state
government has already made its stand clear on Manoj Jarange's agitation regarding the issue of Maratha
reservation. The state government has made it clear that reservation will be given to the maratha community
without affecting the reservation limit of any (other community).
