In the elections held for 90 assembly seats of Chhattisgarh, only 19 women have reached the House. In the

assembly elections held in the state, bjp and congress had made 15 and 18 women their candidates. Of these,

eight women candidates have won from bjp, which came to power by winning 54 seats, and 11 women candidates

have won from congress, which was voted out of power by winning 35 seats. According to the counting of votes

held on Sunday, BJP's women candidates, Union minister Renuka Singh won from Bharatpur Sonhat seat,

Lakshmi Rajwade from Bhatgaon seat, Shakuntala Singh Porte from Pratappur seat, Udheshwari Paikra from

Samri seat, Raimuni Bhagat from Jashpur seat, mp Gomti Sai has won from Pathalgaon seat, bhavana Bohra from

Pandariya seat and former minister Lata Usendi has won from Kondagaon seat.

These women leaders of congress won the elections

Among the women candidates of congress, Vidyawati Sidar from Lailunga seat, North Jangade from Sarangarh

seat, Sheshraj Harbansh from Pamgarh seat, Chaturi Nand from Saraipali seat, Kavita pran Lahere from Bilaigarh

seat, ambika Markam from Sihawa, Sangeeta Sinha Sanjari has won from Balod, minister Anila Bhediya from

Daundi Lohara, Yashoda Nilambar Verma from Khairagarh, Harshita Swami Baghel from Dongargarh and Savitri


Manoj Mandavi from Bhanupratappur. Of these, Uttari Jangade, Sangeeta Sinha and savitri Mandavi are the

current MLAs.

More women voters than men in the state

In the state of Chhattisgarh, the number of female voters is more than male voters. Out of 20393160 voters in the

state, there are 10256865 female voters and 10135543 male voters. Of these, 7812631 female voters and 7748612

male voters had exercised their franchise in this election. Out of the total 90 seats in the state, there are 50 seats

where the number of women voters is more than that of male voters. Among the other political parties contesting

the elections in the state, Janata congress Chhattisgarh (J) had given tickets to 11 women, Bahujan Samaj party to

seven women and aam aadmi party to five women.
