Farmers are now waiting for the 16th installment of prime minister Kisan Samman Nidhi. Every farmer is given
two thousand rupees under this scheme. But there are some farmers who have stopped getting money midway. The
Central government has a clear stand that the installment will not reach the account of ineligible people under any
circumstances. In such a situation, farmers will only have to update e-KYC and Bhulekh updation to get the
installment. In many districts of Uttar Pradesh, farmers have not yet updated their e-KYC and Bhulekh updation.
Because of this, money is not going into the accounts of about 60 thousand farmers. According to the rules, the
installment amount will reach the farmers account only when all the formalities are completed. It is being said in
some media reports that all the account holders of cooperative and rural banks have not yet received the approval
of NPCI.
Link NPCI to Aadhar
Local farmers say that unless the approval of NPCI is received, the installment will not reach the account. On the
other hand, the central government is trying to ensure that government relief reaches the accounts of eligible
farmers only. Due to which it has been made mandatory to link aadhar card with National Payment Corporation of
India. If agriculture department officials are to be believed, the farmers say that if the installment is not available
then the farmers should link NPCI with Aadhaar as soon as possible.
In the winter session of Parliament, a question related to increasing the amount of Kisan Samman nidhi was asked.
On this question, Union Agriculture minister Narendra Singh Tomar said that right now there is no proposal to
increase the amount of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi. Let us tell you that PM Kisan nidhi was started in December
2018. The government gives Rs 6,000 every year in 3 installments to every farmer coming under this scheme.
