Former army veteran Ved Malik said, "I am happy to see the end of Article 370. It was largely misunderstood. It was a hindrance to India's national interest and security." KJS Dhillon, "Both article 370 and 35A should be deleted!" He said. He mentioned that he had said the same earlier in his book as well.
 
"A new era is dawning. The kashmir issue has finally been settled by the supreme court," Defense Counsel Prajesh Kumar said. Brig jai Kaul expressed happiness, "With the historic judgment of the supreme Court. All controversies are put to rest. The confusion of more than 70 years has been cleared. The bold effort of the present central government has been vindicated. Now is the time for elections."
