Reportedly the wait for the inauguration of ram temple in ayodhya is over. On january 22, Ramlala's life was consecrated in the presence of prime minister Narendra Modi. Devotees are very excited with the inauguration of ram temple. Ramlala sat in the grand temple. The atmosphere all around seems to be filled with Ram. Devotees are welcoming the arrival of ram in different ways. Bhajans and Kirtins are being performed in temples, monasteries and pagodas. Ram Mandir-Babri Masjid dispute

Year 1528: On the orders of Mughal emperor Babar, commander Mir Baqi built the Babri Masjid.

Year 1885: Mahant Raghuvar Das filed a petition in the district court of Faizabad. He sought permission to build a platform outside the disputed structure. The court rejected the petition of Raghuvar Das.

Year 1949: The idol of Ramlala was placed under the central dome outside the disputed structure.

February 1, 1986: local court orders the government to open the site for Hindu devotees.

August 14, 1989: allahabad High court ordered to maintain status quo regarding the disputed structure.

December 6, 1992: The 16th century babri masjid was demolished by 'Kar Sevaks'.

April 3, 1993: Center passed 'Acquisition of Certain Area in Ayodhya' to acquire land in the disputed area.

April 2002: allahabad High court started hearing to determine the ownership of the disputed site.

September 30, 2010: The High court, with a majority of 2:1, ruled to divide the disputed area into three parts between Sunni Waqf Board, Nirmohi Akhara and ram Lalla.

May 9, 2011: supreme court stays High Court's decision on ayodhya land dispute.

January 2019: The supreme court constituted a Constitution bench of five judges to hear the case.

February 5, 2020: prime minister Narendra Modi announced in the lok sabha the formation of a trust for the construction of ram Temple.

August 5, 2020: prime minister Modi laid the foundation for the construction of ram Temple.
