According to officials, a panel of two doctors will perform the post-mortem, which will be captured on camera. Umar Ansari, the son of Mukhtar Ansari, will get his remains following the post-mortem.

He experienced a heart attack and was taken to the hospital immediately. On the other hand, Ansari's family asserted that he died as a result of receiving "slow poison" while incarcerated.

Umar Ansari, his son, told ANI that post-mortems are standard routine. I've sent a letter arguing that physicians at AIIMS delhi ought to handle it. Here, we have no faith in the government, the medical system, or the administration. You understand why I'm saying this. The Panchnama is finished. The district Magistrate must decide. watch what he decides, please. postmortem work has not yet started. "We're hoping the court will assist in looking into the concerns we're raising. We'll speak with our legal counsel. We are certain that this was a planned murder rather than a spontaneous death," he continued.

Family says Mukhtar Ansari was poisoned.

Mukhtar Ansari's brother and Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh, mp Afzal Ansari said that the gangster-turned-politician died as a result of a gradual poisoning he received while behind. Mukhtar claimed that while he was incarcerated, a poison was delivered to him in food. There have been two instances of it. Some forty days earlier, poison was also given to him.  He was also administered poison some forty days prior. He was recently exposed to this poison once more, which is why his condition is poor, according to Afzal Ansari. Afzal added that Ansari's attorney had submitted a claim in court on march 21 in the Barabanki court, claiming that his client had been administered "slow poison" while incarcerated, which was the reason why Ansari's condition was getting worse. The lawmaker spent 14 hours in the hospital on tuesday before being released when it was determined that his condition was stable.
