The Enforcement Directorate continued to summon chief minister arvind kejriwal for questioning in the delhi Liquor Policy case. arvind kejriwal has not appeared despite summoning 9 times so far. Claiming that the summons were illegal, he filed a case against the summons in the delhi High Court.


Hearing the case, the delhi high court adjourned the next hearing of the case to april 22 saying that no order can be passed at this time. While the high court has refused to grant an interim stay on the arrest, the enforcement department officials who interrogated arvind kejriwal have arrested him.



Delhi's Rose Avenue court, which granted permission to the Enforcement Directorate to take arvind kejriwal into custody till march 31, ordered him to be produced on april 1 (today).


Accordingly, arvind kejriwal was produced in Delhi's Rose Avenue court. The court heard the case and ordered him to be remanded in judicial custody till april 15. Subsequently, arvind kejriwal was imprisoned in Delhi's Tihar Jail. As he has not yet resigned from the post of chief minister, it seems that he will be given some special privileges.
