Parul Sahu, who was the mla from Surkhi seat of Sagar district of madhya pradesh, has left the Congress. He has resigned from the primary membership of Congress. Parul Sahu, daughter of famous excise businessman and former mla Santosh Sahu, had contested the elections from the Surkhi assembly of Sagar district in 2013 on a bjp ticket. He defeated senior leader and congress candidate Govind Rajput by 141 votes. bjp had canceled the ticket in the 2018 elections. Parul Sahu was angry since the bjp had rejected her ticket in the 2018 assembly elections when she was an MLA. He left the bjp in the by-election and contested against minister Govind Rajput. In this election, Parul lost the election by about 40 thousand votes. After losing the by-election, congress did not give her a chance in 2023. He was angry. There is talk that Parul Sahu may join the BJP.
