
The first death anniversary of senior bjp leader and former deputy chief minister of bihar sushil kumar modi was celebrated with full respect at ravindra Bhawan in patna on tuesday (May 13, 2025). On this occasion, his wife hinted at entering active politics from the assembly elections to be held in the state this year.
Remembered for his clear thinking, personality and decades of political contribution, sushil modi was paid tribute by leaders of various political parties. Those present included his wife JC George Modi, who emotionally remembered her late husband. Giving a political hint, she said publicly for the first time, "I can contest the elections, but the decision has to be taken by the party."
'Will respect and follow the decision'
The former professor said that if she was asked to enter active politics, she would fully respect and follow the decision of the BJP. bihar bjp state president dilip Jaiswal, bihar deputy chief minister Samrat Chaudhary, Vijay Kumar Sinha, bihar assembly Speaker Nand kishore Yadav, Awadhesh Narayan Singh, Maharajganj mp Janardan Singh Sigriwal, Nawada mp Vivek Thakur, Dharmshila Gupta, Bhikkhu Bhai Dalsania, health minister Mangal Pandey and others were present during the programme at ravindra Bhawan.
As part of the programmes, another tribute meeting was organised at Rajendra nagar Road No. 8, where chief minister Nitish Kumar paid his tributes. chief minister Nitish Kumar announced that the local park located at Road No. 8 will be renamed as 'Sushil Kumar Modi Park' in memory of his late friend and colleague.
