shiv sena (UBT) rajya sabha member sanjay raut has surrounded the bjp while supporting the statement of congress MP rahul Gandhi. Raut on sunday (June 08) claimed that congress leader rahul Gandhi's article has exposed the bharatiya janata party (BJP) by accusing it of 'match fixing' and 'rigging' in the 2024 maharashtra assembly elections.
Raut claimed, "Rahul Gandhi's article has created concern among those in the world who believe in democracy." He claimed that gandhi is a 'wonderful person' and holds the constitutional post of leader of the Opposition.
bjp has been exposed - Sanjay Raut
He said, "BJP has been exposed. (Chief Minister) devendra fadnavis can write articles but the whole world knows how those elections were won.''Gandhi on saturday shared an article published in a newspaper and a post on 'X' alleging that the 2024 maharashtra assembly election was a 'blueprint for rigging democracy' and that this 'match fixing' will now be repeated in Bihar.
What did cm devendra fadnavis say?
After these allegations by rahul gandhi, cm devendra fadnavis on sunday (June 08) said that congress MPs are 'rejecting the mandate' instead of introspecting on the defeat in the 2024 state assembly elections because the public has rejected them. Raut claimed that in the elections for the 288-member maharashtra Legislative assembly, the bjp would not have won even 25 seats, while the Eknath Shinde-led shiv sena and Ajit Pawar's ncp would have won less than 10 seats.
'It was not possible for bjp and its allies to win the elections'
He said, "It was not possible for bjp and its allies to win the maharashtra assembly elections." In the assembly elections held in november last year, bjp won 132 seats, shiv sena won 57 and congress PARTY' target='_blank' title='nationalist congress party-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW'>nationalist congress party (NCP) won 41 seats.
