China has started building a large dam at a cost of Rs. 14.46 lakh crore on the brahmaputra river flowing in tibet near the indian border. While Chinese prime minister Li Keqiang participated in the foundation stone laying ceremony for this, shocking information has been released about the impact this dam will have on our country. There is a border dispute between our country and China. There has been peace on the border recently. It was at a time when it was expected that relations between the two countries would improve that china has now taken up a big conspiracy. That is the plan to build a dam on the border.
The brahmaputra river, which originates in the Kailash Mountains in southeastern tibet, is called by different names. This river is called the Yarlung Tsangpo in china, the Brahmaputra in our country, and the jamuna River in Bangladesh. It originates in tibet and flows through china, India, and bangladesh before finally emptying into the Bay of Bengal. This is one of the longest rivers in the world. This river flows for a total of 2,900 kilometers. In this context, china has started showing its work. china is planning to build a huge dam about 50 kilometers from Arunachal Pradesh near the border of our country. The foundation stone laying work for this was done yesterday. Chinese prime minister Li Keqiang attended this groundbreaking ceremony.
China approved the construction of this dam project last December. The budget of this dam is 1.2 trillion yuan. If we want to say it in dollars, it is .167 million US dollars. In indian currency, it is Rs 14.46 lakh crore. china is going to build this dam for a hydroelectric project at such a cost. A total of 5 hydroelectric power plants are going to be built here. When this dam is completed, it is going to generate more electricity than the 3 Gorges Dam on the Yangtze River. Due to this dam, the flow of the river will be stopped. This will cause great harm to our country. That is, by storing water, we will not get the water we need from the Brahmaputra. At the same time, when it rains heavily, china can suddenly release more water from the dam. This can cause major floods in our country.

Due to this, our country is strongly opposed to this dam project. Last January, the Ministry of External Affairs announced that the construction of a dam across the brahmaputra river would affect the downstream areas. It has been stressed that steps should be taken to prevent that impact. It was reported that there will be no impact on the Chinese side.
Similarly, a few days ago, Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Pema Khandu had expressed his fear. Regarding this, he said, "China cannot be trusted. No one knows what they will do. The dam being built by china will pose a great threat to our tribals and our livelihood. This problem is very serious. china can use this dam as a water bomb.

China may have started the construction of this dam. Or it may start soon. But they will not share any information related to this. "If the dam construction work is completed, our Siang and Brahmaputra rivers will dry up," he had expressed his fear. A few days after he expressed his fear, china has now started building the dam. Thus, our country should be free. At the same time, due to this dam in china, not only our country but also bangladesh will be affected. The Brahmaputra dam flows into the Bay of bengal through Bangladesh. It is also noteworthy that this will cause problems for bangladesh, along with us.
